BREAKING: Buhari survives impeachment notice in Senate

Fred Itua, Abuja

The Senate on Thursday, fell short of activating Section 143 of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, as amended, which sets in motion the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The latest move was in reaction to the alleged violation of Section 80 of the same 1999 Nigerian Constitution, as amended by Buhari, wherein he withdrew $496 million from the Excess Crude Account to purchase military helicopters without any approval by the National Assembly.

The motion was moved by Senator Matthew Urhoghide and seconded by Senator Chukwuka Utazi.

The matter has been referred to the Senate committee on Judiciary for further legislative advice. The committee is expected to report back next Wednesday.

Hello Saraki and Ekweremadu, you two will be there before Buahari and Omo Agege overthrow you two. You better act quick now than later. Impeach him now for these killings going on in the North Central.

Why should you allow Buahari and his cohorts to be killing people in the north central everyday. Na waa for you people ooh

I did mention before the invasion of Omo Agege and the snatching of the mace that Saraki if care is not taken will be removed if he continue treating Buhari with kid glove. I am warning him again to be a man and impeach this incompetent and wicked fellow called Buhari before it is too late.

Very unfortunate that the Senate lack the capacity to evoke the required section to impeach the President.

It’s like Saraki is now donating his Senators for sacrifice to keep his seat. But the question is can he survive it this way?
