MINISTER of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung yesterday charged the ministerial committee on sports reforms to be thorough in their task of repositioning of Nigerian sports and work out a framework that would see more private sector participation in sports.

Speaking in Abuja at the inauguration of the Committee headed by Godwin Kienka, the minister while congratulating them on their appointment said the Federal Government looked up to them to fashion ways in which sports would be self sustaining as government alone cannot sponsor sports.

Dalung further revealed that the ministerial committee would be tasked to restructure and redefine sports and will help redesign sports from a service oriented model to a private sector developmental one.
