In a bid to demystify the notion that one must have several millions of naira  to invest in real estate in Lekki,  Arkbridge, a real estate development company in partnership with consortium led by African Property Investment Group (AFPING) is organising an investment forum for members of the public interested in investing in the sector.
Managing Director of Arkbridge Alex Adefarasin said, “what we are trying to explain through the forum is that though Lekki property market is so  primed that it seems to be the most vibrant and   lucrative in Lagos real estate market;  we are through the forum going to make it  clearer and easier to understand that anybody can invest in it. And this is why we have involved Chudi Kalu led AFPING, a crowd funding investment company.”
He noted in a press conference held at Niger Palace Hotel, Sabo Yabo, Lagos over the weekend that Arkbridge which has been in business for seven years takes time to come up with projects adding that the  investment forum which comes up on Monday  at Radissons Blue, Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos is entitled “Cracking the silent Lekki Property market.”
He said, “we are partnering with AFPING group to examine the real estate market in Lekki for the  benefit  of those who are expecting to invest in real estate business. The reason behind the theme came out of the notch of wanting to do something based on current trend particularly in Lagos property market.
“It will be recalled that over time, we have seen the Lagos property market evolve step by step. And we want to do something out of the box by creating an atmosphere where an average Nigerian can own a property. In this part of the world, we believe that one must have all the money in the bank before one can invest in real estate. And when real estate investment is mentioned, people think if they are not among those who have all the millions in their bank account, they cannot invest,” he mused.
On the success of past projects which the company has  been involved in, Adefarasin said, “we have the famous Freedom Park project known for its affordability. Through that project, people have come to know us such that when it comes to  property they don’t need to break the banks.  This is what the forum is all about; to undo the mindset.”
