The All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday cleared former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu to contest the party primaries for Abia North Senatorial district.

The statement signed by the acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, said the
chieftain of the party was cleared along with a Kogi Central Senatorial district aspirant, Yusuf A. Haruna. The statement titled
“APC clears Uzor Kalu, Yusuf Haruna for Abia, Kogi Senate primaries, read: “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) has cleared the former governor of Abia State, H.E. Dr. Uzor Kalu and Yusuf A. Haruna to contest the party’s Senate primaries for Abia North and Kogi Central Senatorial districts respectively.”
Senate primaries in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) hold today.
