Asaba Diocese of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has established an integrated farm project at Ewulu in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Tagged: ‘Diocesan Integrated Farm’, the  project will be commissioned today alongside the Diocesan Water Project at Asaba as part of activities marking the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Diocese from the old Benin Diocese.

Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Rev. Justus Mogekwu told journalists yesterday in Asaba that the farm project was one of the numerous ways of assisting government in providing the basic necessities of life to citizens.

“The farm project is there to symbolise our commitment and determination to ensure everybody, as much as possible, can have three square meal a day. “When the farm is fully developed, it is going to provide good opportunity for people to be fed; provide employment; and exposed Ewulu community to the world,” Mogekwu said.He revealed that the Diocese would be embarking on other projects, including technical schools, adding that as a result of the humongous nature of the projects, a N1 billion Asaba Anglican Diocese Foundationthere would be launched during the anniversary celebration.”
