A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Obinna Uzoh has received the endorsement of a group of party delegates who will take part in the party’s primary slated for August  19,2017. The group of delegates pledged their support after Uzoh paid them a visit recently.

While addressing the group, Uzoh praised them for their effort in ensuring that Anambra State gets the best in terms of good governance and sustainable development. He stated that the state deserved better than what the current administration has given them..

He said: “There is a general consensus that there is lack of confidence in this administration headed by the incumbent who is from the Anambra North senatorial district. In 2003, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju who is from Anambra South where I come from was accused of lack of performance and was denied a second term. When I offered to remedy the situation, there was stiff resistance, and people insisted that the baton must shift to another zone, thus paving the way for Anambra Central to have 11 years in power under Dr. Chris N. Ngige and Sir Peter Obi.

“It will be inequitable to again insist that the governorship position be zoned to Anambra North. In fact, what is equitable is that the baton goes to the South. There is a need to correct the injustice meted to the South in 2003 by not allowing a capable person from the South to take over the position.”

While thanking  Uzoh for paying them a visit, the delegates group extolled his qualities which they say has endeared him to the masses in Anambra.

A member of the group, Christopher Osita, said: “Uzoh is an uncommon philanthropist who with his personal resources has positively affected the lives of the masses cutting across the different zones in the State. We have painstakingly assessed all the aspirants who have declared intention to contest the elections and we have found that he is the only man with the qualities to serve the people and beat Chris Ngige’s and Peter Obi’s standard in terms of positive development of this State. He is the person we desire to present to the votes because he is a man with integrity who feels the heartbeat of the ordinary man in the state.”
