A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra, Stanley Ugbo Okeke, has congratulated Dr. Tony Nwoye, on his victory at the recently-concluded governorship primary of the party in the state and assured him of his support during the November 18, 2017 election.

In a congratulatory message, Okeke urged other contestants to make conscious efforts in reconciling all parties involved in the primary “so that together, they can be form a formidable team and collectively take over the affairs of the state.” Okeke, who is also a member of the Buhari Campaign Organisation and former governorship candidate, reportedly worked for Senator Andy Uba but lost to Nwoye at the primary, urged other party members to reconcile and work together as a family, for the success of the party, in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state.

“I seize this opportunity to call Andy Uba to accept the outcome of the exercise in good faith, as an act of God, and extend hands of fellowship to Dr. Nwoye, as a father figure, to pave way for true reconciliation, on which our great party will clinch the victory in the next election.”

Okeke also said “the situation calls for responsibility on the side of the party leaders, including Labour Minister, Dr Chris Ngige, to totally reconcile the party and bury all hatchets, towards the battle ahead.”

Speaking further, he urged Nwoye “to show uncommon maturity, magnanimity and loyalty in victory by reaching out to all, to enable peaceful reconciliation and fence-mending, as this is the only way towards our victory on November 18.

“We must understand that, as our symbol, the broom can only act effectively when united, we must unite to sweep to a total victory. There is no room for division now and anything short of total reconciliation will be fatal to our future.”
