“Seven people were killed in the end, six others were injured while the herdsmen also went away with a woman after burning several houses in the area,” he said.

Daily Sun gathered that the attack has made several villagers to start moving out of the area and surrounding villages in droves for fear of another attack by the killers.
The council boss, who disclosed that there was no prior problem between the villagers and the Fulani herdsmen, wondered why the gunmen swooped on his people without any provocation.

Efforts to get the state police command to speak on the matter failed as calls to the mobile phone of the commissioner of police, Fatai Owoseni, were neither picked nor returned at the time of filing this report.
