GOVERNMENT College, Bomadi, in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, has been submerged by flood

Daily Sun gathered that about 420 students of the college were displaced from classes by the flood.

Primary and secondary schools across the state resumed in a new academic session last Monday but, the latest disaster has forced students of the school gto remain at home.

A community leader told Daily Sun on telephone that the flood was as a result of River Niger overflowing its bank.

He said the flood, which submerged the school compound, was about four feet deep, and added that the access road to the school, buildings and other property within the school premises were also flooded.

The source urged the state government to construct a causeway to the school and the community.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had, on Wednesday, predicted heavy flooding in states along the banks of River Niger and River Benue following signals from Niger Republic.

Director General of the agency, Yinusa Maihaja who named Delta as one of the states predicted to witness heavy flooding, urged state governments and stakeholders to prepare for the imminent disaster.
