Before going into Atiku’s story and why he is the Lord’s choice, I will first recall my support for President Buhari during the 2011 and 2015 elections

As was the case with late Chief Moshood Kasimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, whom the Heavenly Father sent me to on what to do to win the June 12, 1993 presidential poll, and who unfortunately caused the election to be annulled, only Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria (May 29, 1999 – May 28, 2007), can stop himself from being sworn – in as President and Commander–in–Chief of the Armed Forces on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. But this will happen only if he disregards God’s message I have conveyed to him.

But before going into Atiku’s story and why he is the Lord’s choice, I will first recall my support for President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2011 and 2015 elections to put everything in proper perspective. So that everyone will know that I once did for Buhari what Almighty God is now making me do for Atiku. And that I did not ditch Buhari for pecuniary reason and that the matter is divine and therefore completely beyond me.

Those who have been reading this eleven – year – on column in the last eight years may remember that no columnist in the country campaigned for Buhari as much as I did in 2010 – 11. From December 2010 through February 2011 I wrote articles almost every week urging Nigerians to vote for Buhari as he was the only one among the candidates of the parties who could fight corruption and Boko Haram decisively.

I even did more for Buhari behind the scenes. Apart from Chief Abiola, a big-hearted (generous) person, in whose company, Concord Press of Nigeria, I worked for 14 years (1980 – 94) and who was very kind to me and Chief Olu Falae, who is my cousin, President Buhari is the other candidate on whose behalf I had approached and pleaded with the Ancient of Days to help make win a presidential election.

I did so for my beloved cousin in 1999, but the Lord declined on the ground that he was the first person He gave the opportunity in 1992 to become the nation’s president under His plan to make Nigeria a great nation. But that he turned down the offer which was conveyed to him by another younger cousin of ours. That exercise was cancelled with Falae and the other twelve contestants from the Social Democratic Party and National Republican Convention banned from participating from the 1993 election.

That day in 1999 when I raised Chief Falae’s issue with the Heavenly Father, he told me that my cousin was to have died in a plane crash before the day of election, but that because of me He would spare his life. Indeed, a few days later it was reported in the press that an aircraft Falae was inside narrowly missed crashing at the Maiduguri airport.

I wrote about my taking Buhari’s matter to the Ancient of Days in my column of January 21, 2015 titled: “My discussion with God on 2015 poll.” As I stated in the piece neither Buhari nor incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan was the Lord’s candidate. And that it was the one most of the voters preferred that would win.

But unlike Chiefs Abiola and Falae whose matters I took to the Lord in 1993 and 99 respectively, that of General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida in 2001 to contest the presidential election in 2003 and that of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2017 for the 2019 poll were different. It was the Heavenly Father Himself who brought up their matters on Monday, July 2, 2001 and Thursday, September 14, 2017.

Evidence polygamy existed in new testament time

Many a reader during phone calls or in the text messages always told me polygamy was an Old Testament phenomenon and that it was not practiced in the New Testament. They will then ask me with glee to let them know of anyone who was a polygamist in the 27 Books in the second half of the Holy Bible.

But what they don’t realize is that they were only showing that they are not very intelligent people, because there is evidence in the Bible that polygamy was on in the time of Jesus Christ and the Apostles. Apostle Paul’s statement in I Timothy 3:1 – 7 that a bishop or church leader must have only one wife is evidence that some people were polygamists in his time.

His speech suggests that some bishops or church leaders probably had two or more wives and he was trying to let them know what they did was not good for someone in their positions. Or it could be that some clerics who wanted to marry a second wife raised the issue with Apostle Paul and he was trying to discourage them from doing so.

Many Christians in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa think it is a sin for people of their faith to have two or more wives because at the time white clerics brought the religion to Africa in the 19th century, polygamy had been outlawed by the governments of their countries in Europe and the United States.
