A presidential aspirant, Dr. Asukwo Archibong, on Wednesday, said that if made president of Nigeria come 2019, he would sign a contract with Nigerians to ensure that he fulfils all his promises or resign.

Archibong, who stated this in Abuja, added that Nigeria was not as corrupt as being portrayed in the media.

Although he did not disclose the platform of which he intends to run under but disclosed that “Nigerians are generally known to be energetic, audacious, bold, productive, vibrant, capable and much more.

“It is time for us to bring these qualities to bear in the governance of Nigeria.”

He further debunked the proposed one year extension of Nigerian graduates by the Federal Government, which according him, the numerous strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) was enough punishment for students.

The law graduate at the George Washington University, stressed that constant power supply, water security, transportation system, free and improved education will top his agenda.

He added that his government will ensure “free and improved healthcare system, rule of law and strong and independent judiciary.

While dissecting the insecurity situation, he said he administration will “focus on building a modern day military, not to be used against Nigerians, but a military that will meet the challenges that we face today as a nation.”

Not done, he further said the issue of restructuring will be laid to rest because his government will ensure that “states within the federation must be given more power to act.”
