Five persons including a two- year- old child  died yesterday in a motor  accident at Onipetesi area of Ondo State.
The accident involved a Toyota  Camry and a Toyota Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Witnesses said the vehicles had a head-on collision.  One of them, Bright Ogboh, said the accident occurred at about 10:30am.
Ogboh, who blamed the crash on the carelessness of the driver of the SUV driver said the  vehicle was coming from Lagos and the driver took one way and had a head-on collision with the Camry.
“I think something should be done about this because a month ago, a truck driver took the same one way and crushed 14 persons in a hummer bus at almost the same spot.”
A Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) official told Daily Sun that five persons including a two-year old girl died while three others have been rushed to the hospital.
He said there was no reason for the SUV driver to ply one way as the road was in good shape.
There was traffic gridlock from both sides of the road.
