Ebonyi State police command has arrested two suspected rapists, Monday and Nweke after they allegedly defiled a 13-year-old girl, Chiamaka.
The suspects allegedly accosted the victim at Egu Uhuo village, Ezzagu Community in Ishielu Local Government Area of the state while returning from the market and demanded for sex.
Daily Sun gathered that, they threatened to kill her for refusing their request and  dragged her into an uncompleted building where they allegedly drugged and raped her.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, (DSP) George Okafor, said the suspects would be arraigned after investigation.
He charged parents to monitor the movements of their children and give them proper upbringing to avoid immoral acts.
In a related development, a Pastor with a church at Ukuagba Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state,  Agbo, was at the weekend remanded at the Abakaliki  prisons custody by Magistrate court for allegedly defiling a nine-year old-girl.
Agbo allegedly accosted the victim in May while on an errand for her parents.   It was gathered that the accused immediately carried her inside his apartment at pastor’s quarters in the church  and defiled her.
After the charges were read to him, the presiding Magistrate, Stella Ugwuoke ordered  the accused to be remanded in prisons custody as the court lacks the jurisdiction to entertain the matter.
She adjourned the matter to  August9.
